The Lincoln Singers
Singing wonderful pieces
in wonderful places
THE LINCOLN SINGERS
The Lincoln Singers are group of people who enjoy singing sacred music in Britain's awe-inspiring Cathedrals.
The Lincoln Singers are not a choir with regular rehearsal or concert schedules.
In a typical year The Lincoln Singers may:
- sing the services on one day, in two or three relatively local Minsters or Cathedrals such as Southwell, Beverley and Peterborough.
- get together over 2 weekends a year (involving an overnight stay) when we visit more distant places such as Winchester, Durham or Gloucester.
- consider other requests for us to sing as they arise, for example we may be invited to : sing at a wedding, sing carols in a stately home, or to fill in at a local venue when the choir that was due to sing withdraws.
It isn't all work, there are also social occasions.
Each choir is made up of those members of the group who sign up for the event. A small number of rehearsals is then organised according to the availability of those people.
The music we sing ranges from the middle ages to to 21st century and composers from Palestrina to Pärt.

This included a technical upgrade to solve a problem with the navigation buttons. I had great difficulty testing the fix until I remembered:
